To allow remote access to your database, you will need to do this via the cPanel control panel. For steps on how to download your database, please see the following:
- Log in to your LetsHost client area and click on Services > My Services
- You will see your products/services listed out here. Click on Active beside your hosting package
- On the menu on the left, click on Login to cPanel
- Once logged in to your cPanel control panel, click on the icon for Remote MySQL under the Databases section
- Fill in the IP address of the location you wish to access from, or use % to allow remote access from anywhere (we would recommend only using this temporarily). You can access your own IP address from http://ip.letshost.ie
- Click Add Host
- The final step is for this IP address to be whitelisted on the servers firewall – only LetsHost staff can do this for you
- You will need to open a ticket with our Support Dept. requesting for the IP address to be whitelisted to allow for remote database access
