If you have reset the password for an email account which your iPhone uses, you will need to update the iPhone to use the new password. Please see the following steps on how to do this.

  • Click ‘Settings’ > ‘Passwords and Accounts’ and click the email account which you need to input the new password for
  • Look for the option ‘Re-enter Password’
  • Type the new password
  • If the account does not work after entering the up-to-date password, sign out of the email account, restart the phone and sign back into the email account after the phone restarts.

If the above does not work, you may need to remove the account from the phone and re-add it. Before removing any account from your phone, be sure you have all emails backed up (as removing an email account may delete all your emails).
